What's the biggest problem with traveling in space? The distances and thus time involved in the actual traveling itself. At a minimum it will take six months to reach Mars. What is a good way to somewhat avoid these large amounts of time? Sleep through it. In the same way that you can shorten a car trip by taking a nap in the back, scientists are looking at ways to help astronauts sleep through the journey to Mars.
