Who's Cutting All The Cables?

All I have been hearing about on the "Internet Buzz" for the last few days are the cables that have been cut over that hell hole of a place called the middle east. People, let it go. Seriously.

First it was two cables, then three, then four, and today I have heard rumors of a possible fifth. Nobody even knows for sure, but this is a potential disaster, might cause a war, might be the government wire tapping people, or it might even be aliens or global warming. I don't know. But more importantly, I don't care.

Why don't I care? Let me explain.
1. These cables get cut all the time. There are lots and lots of undersea cables running on the floor of oceans around the globe and it's actually quite common for them to be damaged or cut.
2. Call me selfish, but my Internet and phone works. Why would I care if Iran doesn't have the Internet or phone service? I can't think of one Iranian web page that I visit, or one Iranian person that I call.
3. I'm not sure what the actual down time was or is, but I don't think it was that much. From what I have heard from actual news services is that the transmissions were re-routed within hours and everything was fine.

People need to stop worrying so much about what might be going on and worry more about what is going on. I see this more and more on the Internet, a bunch of people get together and start making shit up. I'm tired of it.
