His parasite theory stirs a revolution
His parasite theory stirs a revolution - The Boston Globe - [Stumbles via StumbleUpon]
This is something that I have been preaching for years. These days we are way overprotective of our children.
Childhood is a time for learning. As children we have to learn that touching things that are hot is a bad idea. We have to learn skills such as balance. But, we our bodies also have to learn. Childhood is the time in which our bodies build up our immune system that will help us later in life.
If you are keeping your children spotlessly clean or running them to the doctor for every sniffle and cough, then I believe you are doing far more harm than good.
